11 Second Animation: Storyboard

Once a script is finished, the next step in animation design is the storyboard.


This is a series of drawings that illustrate a scene's framing, posing, staging and camera planning. It's not supposed to be very detailed. Nevertheless, it should unequivocally inform the animator of the way he's supposed to plan the scene.

This being said, here's the storyboard for my animation:

Although the drawing doesn't have to be too detailed, each frame should actually have more information than just the staging. The script is usually added. The timing of the frame is also added, also its number in the sequence of frames, if it's going to be shot in a specific camera angle, which camera is going to be used in it, etc.
