11 Second Animation: Animatics

By creating an animatic we can have a first look of how our animation is going to end up. In this process, soundtrack and storyboard are put together in sync for the first time, so of course, to do this we need to have both of them available.
It should be a reflection of the storyboard, so any changes made in this should also be made in the animatic. I made mine right after finishing my storyboard, and after making up my mind about how the cameras were going to focus on the characters, I had to re-draw a couple of frames and modify the animatic so storyboard and animatic represented the story the same way.

As you can see, the main difference is the way I decided to frame the two characters at the beginning, so that both appear on camera at the same time. This way, the camera points more directly at both of them, achieving thus a cleaner scene and one easier to understand.
